Press On Missions Board President, Rick Collins, was invited by the Eastern Baptist Convention to help give leadership to their 3rd annual Youth Ministry Conference.  The event took place on Friday, April 8—Saturday, April 9 at the 13th Baptist Church of Santiago, Cuba.  Over the course of the conference there were 90 participants registered.  The group was made up of those serving as the Youth Minister in their churches as well as youth workers from various churches. It was a good chance to teach, mentor, challenge and encourage these young ministers & youth workers.  On Friday morning Rick taught two sessions about youth ministry philosophy and youth ministry fundamentals.  On Friday afternoon the participants traveled to the Seminary campus were they were led the group in “The Evangelism Game”.  It was a great time of challenge about the urgency and importance of being active in sharing their faith.  They were able to get into small groups and talk about the truths brought out in the game and were excited about going back to challenge their students to be more active in sharing their faith.  On Saturday morning Rick taught two sessions that were designed to encourage them on God’s call on their life.  The conference was a great time to minister to these youth leaders and make some very crucial contacts for Press On Mission’s future ministry in Cuba.
