POMIn the summer of 2003 current Press On Missions President, Rick J. Collins, traveled to Cuba to conduct some leadership training for a church he was partnering with in Cuba.  The Pastor of the church he was working with took him to a piece of land that the leaders in that area hoped to one day develop into a youth camp venue. As he was on a ridge looking over the landscape he was envisioning the camp that would one day happen there 20-30 years in the future when the political climate changes in Cuba.  As he was thinking about this he clearly felt God tap him on the heart and say, “Rick, I don’t want to wait 20-30 years for a youth camp to happen in this area of Cuba…I want you to establish one next year!”  He shared this vision with the Cuban leadership he was working with and several of his close friends who he ministers with.  They made this a matter of prayer and in the summer of 2004 he led a team of 4 to establish a youth camp in Moa, Cuba.  God moved in incredible ways and gave a vision to these four of what was on His heart.  For the next couple of years this group continued to travel to Cuba to build on their camp successes.  In 2007 Press On Missions was established as a 501c3 non-profit ministry to continue to expand the camp vision in Cuba and to other developing countries in need of help establishing a youth camp ministry.  Today board President, Rick J. Collins gives his full time ministry attention to the vision of Press on Missions.  We are in need of prayer and financial support to enable us to continue to move forward in establishing and strengthening youth camps in developing countries.  Pray about partnering with us in this important ministry!
